Hi my name is Cari (short for Caroline)

I live in Surrey with my husband and two cats.

Previously I was a Primary School teacher for over thirty years.  I loved teaching, mainly because I have always been interested in people. As I teacher I was often in the privileged position of being the first person that the children would tell their news to.

When I left teaching some of my friends suggested that I trained become a celebrant and I am so glad that I did.  To chat to a person's family and friends, listening to their  memories and stories is fascinating. To then be able to help them to create a ceremony that reflects their loved one's character and beliefs is a privilege.

Although I bring a lot of qualities from my teaching career, (and not just a loud voice and that ‘look’ that all teachers have) I am proud to say that I trained with Green Fuse, an award winning organisation. My training was deep, rigorous and sometimes tough, it covered all aspects of the funeral experience.

I am now confident that I can work with you to create well structured, imaginative personal ceremony delivered to a highly professional but friendly standard.
